Vajpayee Arogyashree Yojane
"Vajpayee Arogyashree Yojane is a unique healthcare scheme introduced by the Govt of Karnataka through the Suvarna Arogya Suraksha Trust to provide tertiary medical care for treatment of identified diseases involving hospitalization, surgery and therapies through an identified network of healthcare providers for people living below the poverty line. This scheme is a cashless scheme where the premium is paid by the government directly to the healthcare providers after the beneficiaries avail medical facilities."
Project Description
Every beneficiary family will be issued a biometric-enabled smart card containing the user's photograph and a fingerprint. The beneficiary only needed to carry his/her smart card and provide fingerprint verification when they go to the suvarna arogyashree empanelled public and private hospitals across Bangalore.The objectives of this program are to improve access of urban poor family towards quality tertiary medical care for treatment of identified diseases involving hospitalization, surgery and therapies through an identified network of health care providers.
